Home,
Grown,
Growers.
Lotus Brook has worked with communities since 2013. Our vision is to beautify urban spaces, share our love of the great outdoors, and help build resilient communities through food and flower growing
My family inspired me. My grandparents were growers because they couldn’t get certain foods in the UK (they were from China) so they grew lots, and they gave excess crops to neighbours, making lots of lifelong friends through their acts of kindness. I therefore have lived experience of seeing how horticulture can bring communities together. I think we replicate that in the way we work in Bootle through the Taking Root in Bootle project. My design style is community and nature led and always in an urban setting. I design low maintenance, naturalistic spaces for people and nature. My gardens are brownfield inspired and often rely on local industry waste materials and industrial colour palettes.
